Pumpkin mug

A little bit about me ♥️

My name is Bri, I am the potter at Love Co. Ceramics, I started creating pottery at 16 years old and quickly fell in love with it. Over the years I felt so drawn to get back into creating, so I bought a wheel, some clay and found some random tools from around the house, and created a little makeshift studio in my moms kitchen. Flashforward 3 years and my dream became my reality.

All of my pottery is handmade in my little home studio using either a slab building technique or my pottery wheel, or my hydraulic press. Each vessel is handmade making each one unique. ♥️

How I create this mug 🧡

The shape of the mug is created using a custom made two part mold in a hydraulic press. I first create a mold for the shape of the mug that I would like using a 3D printer, after the model is created I use this to create a two part plaster mold. once the mold is ready to be used I press the shape of the mug and then trim and attach a hand formed handle. The next step is to allow the piece to fully dry before bisque firing it. After the piece has been bisque fired it is sanded and hand painted. Because each piece is handmade and hand painted each one is unique 🎃🧡

These mugs hold approximately 18oz and are microwave and dishwasher safe. for longevity I do recommend hand washing.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message.

With gratitude,
Bri
